I'd say that 70% of this character was done with clay brush and clay buildup. The rest is mostly, standart, inflate and pinch.

Yeah I used Wax preview, for the tendons I used the clay buildup because it doesnt work like the other brushes. Most brushes with Zbrush work with the normals of the geometry, all brush strokes will always be parralels to the mesh, but with clay brush and clay building, the direction of the strokes is set by the angles of the cursor so you can go against the normals but it will tear your topology. When you smooth a clayed area, you loose pretty much everything so the best thing to do is to pinch the area before so you can keep the details. I'm sorry I cant explain it better, but honestly I think keeping it simpler is the best, this is why I only ise 3-4 brush type.

thanks....I have never tried pinch(now I realize its somehow Relax)..didnt know about clay buildup working against the normals....cool advices..so actually the brushes in zbrush are somehow logical? And I actually thought that the brushes are manipulated by the devil itself, and have an mind of their own....:)
thanks again.
